Portable Dog Playpen for Puppies and Small Dogs
The A4Pet Portable Dog Playpen creates a temporary enclosed area for small dogs and puppies at home or while travelling. Its soft-sided construction combines breathable mesh panels with a waterproof floor and quick-folding frame.
The selected Small size has an approximately 30-inch footprint and a height of 16.5 inches. Always compare these measurements with your pet’s size, jumping ability and activity level before ordering.
Compact Space for Rest and Play
The enclosure can hold a small pet bed, toys and the included feeding bowl when appropriately arranged.
Temporary Enclosure, Not a Permanent Crate
This soft playpen is designed for short-term supervised use. It should not replace a properly sized crate, secure kennel or pet-proof room when stronger containment is required.
Breathable Mesh-Sided Design
The mesh panels allow air to move through the enclosure while providing visibility from multiple directions.
Easier Pet Monitoring
Owners can observe the pet’s behaviour and check food or water without entering the playpen.
Do Not Cover the Mesh
Keep the ventilation panels unobstructed. Avoid placing blankets, luggage or other objects against the mesh, particularly in warm conditions.
Waterproof Integrated Floor
The bottom has a waterproof surface intended to help contain small spills, food residue and puppy accidents.
Helps Protect Indoor Floors
The floor creates a barrier between everyday messes and the carpet, tile or other surface underneath.
Waterproof Does Not Mean Leak-Proof Forever
Clean spills promptly and inspect seams regularly. Prolonged liquid exposure, damage or worn stitching may reduce the floor’s ability to contain moisture.
Included Bowl for Feeding or Water
A pet bowl is supplied with the playpen, creating a convenient feeding point during temporary use.
Position Food and Water Carefully
Place the bowl where it will not block the entrance or reduce the pet’s usable resting space.
Monitor Water Regularly
Refill fresh water as needed and clean the bowl after use. Remove spilled food promptly to maintain hygiene inside the pen.
Pop-Up Setup and Foldable Storage
The flexible frame opens quickly without separate tools or loose panels. When no longer needed, the playpen folds into a flatter form for storage or transport.
Useful for Home and Travel
Potential uses include:
- Supervised puppy rest
- Temporary indoor play space
- Hotel and RV travel
- Visits with family or friends
- Short outdoor stays in mild conditions
Carrying Case Not Listed
The product folds for transport, but the supplied listing does not state that a separate carrying bag is included.
Small Size and Low-Wall Design
The Small model measures approximately:
- Width: 29.92 in
- Depth: 29.92 in
- Height: 16.5 in
Check Your Pet’s Height and Jumping Ability
The 16.5-inch walls are intended for small dogs and puppies. Active pets may be able to climb, jump over or move a lightweight soft enclosure.
Size by Behaviour as Well as Weight
A calm small dog may be suited to this model, while an energetic puppy of the same size may require a taller or more rigid enclosure.

Setup Instructions
Opening the Playpen
Remove the securing strap and allow the flexible frame to unfold in a clear area. Keep your face and hands away from the frame while it expands.
Check the Structure
Confirm that the playpen is fully open, the floor is flat and all fabric sections are correctly positioned before placing a pet inside.
Select a Safe Location
Keep the enclosure away from stairs, fireplaces, heaters, swimming pools, traffic and other household or outdoor hazards.
Indoor and Outdoor Use
Indoor Placement
Position the playpen on a clean, level surface with enough clearance around the sides. A protective mat may be useful beneath the waterproof floor.
Supervised Outdoor Placement
Use only during calm weather in a shaded, secure area. The lightweight playpen may shift in wind or when pushed by an active pet.
Never Leave a Pet Unattended Outdoors
The enclosure does not provide protection from heat, rain, wildlife, theft or determined escape attempts.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Remove loose hair and debris regularly. Wipe the waterproof floor with a damp cloth and mild pet-safe cleaner, then allow it to dry fully before folding.
Clean the mesh and fabric according to the supplied care instructions. Avoid storing the playpen while damp, as trapped moisture may create odours or affect the material.
Safety Information
This soft playpen is not chew-proof or escape-proof. Closely supervise puppies and pets that scratch, climb, bite fabric or push against enclosures.
Inspect the mesh, seams, frame, bowl attachment and closures before every use. Stop using the playpen if the frame bends, fabric tears or loose components become accessible. Remove collars, harnesses and hanging tags if they could become caught on the mesh.
